Welcome to In Bloom Counselling, my name is Kayleigh and I am a qualified Counsellor and a registered member of the BACP.
I am a warm and empathic Counsellor working with adults, and I believe that meaningful change begins with feeling truly heard and understood. At the heart of my work is the therapeutic relationship, a space that feels safe, and trusting, where you can speak openly, explore gently, and be accepted exactly as you are. Wherever it is you find yourself, is where I will meet you.
As an Integrative therapist I blend thoughtful training with genuine human connection. I offer a calm, supportive presence where clients feel seen, respected, and empowered to move toward meaningful change.
My training includes Person-Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, and Pluralistic practice. This allows us to work in a way that feels right for you. We might explore how past experiences influence your present, develop practical tools to manage anxiety or low mood, or reflect more deeply on recurring themes in your life and relationships. Our work is collaborative, we move at your pace, focusing on what feels most helpful and meaningful to you.
Before becoming a counsellor I trained in Complimentary Therapy which allowed me to work in a variety of holistic roles.
I then decided to pursue a career in counselling and began my training in Integrative Counselling.
I am an experienced and empathic psychotherapist who believes that meaningful therapy begins with feeling safe and understood. Clients often describe me as reassuring, calm and easy to talk to. Creating a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship is at the heart of my work. When you feel safe enough to explore what’s really going on beneath the surface, meaningful change becomes possible. I offer a welcoming, non-judgemental environment where you can speak freely and at your own pace. I bring warmth and steadiness to the therapy room, alongside a thoughtful and reflective approach to our work.
Reaching out for therapy can feel daunting. You may be feeling anxious, low, overwhelmed, stuck in unhelpful patterns, or simply not yourself. Whatever has brought you here, you don’t have to navigate it alone. You will be met with kindness, curiosity and respect.
My integrative training allows me to draw on different therapeutic approaches depending on your individual needs. This means our work can be flexible and collaborative, whether we are exploring patterns rooted in the past, developing practical strategies for the present, or making sense of recurring themes in your relationships and emotional life. We do this at a pace that feels manageable while gently supporting you towards meaningful and lasting change.
Your experiences, relationships, strengths and challenges all matter.
Finding the right therapist is important. If you feel that my approach may suit you, I would welcome an initial conversation to explore whether we are a good fit.
Mondays and Tuesdays I offer early morning appointments from 7am.

I offer face to face Counselling in a warm and welcoming space. Private onsite parking and a 5 minute walk from Bridgeton Train Station.
Address: Suite 2/8. Brook Street Business Hub, 117 Brook Street, G40 3AP.
During our first session we will establish a foundation for your therapeutic journey by building rapport and developing a trusting relationship. You will be able to explain your story and discuss any aims or goals you may have for your healing journey. We will also discuss our contractual agreement. The contract allows us to discuss boundaries and limitations of confidentiality in the therapeutic relationship, this ensures we proceed working together ethically by providing clarity on expectations. I will be able to answer any questions you may have.
Counselling can take different forms depending on individual needs but, essentially it is a private, safe and confidential space for you to explore concerns or problematic issues in your life. Wherever it is you find yourself is where I will meet you. We can work together by making connections between how you think, feel and behave which allows for greater self-awareness and more authentic relations with others and yourself. Counselling gives you the chance to speak with someone who is impartial to your personal relationships. Many people find this easier as it allows you to talk freely without fear or judgement.
Research indicates that many grieving pet owners may experience 'disenfranchised grief'. This is a type of grief that society often overlooks or marginalises, making it difficult for individuals to openly express their feelings of loss. This can create challenges in mourning the loss of a beloved pet.
Our bond with animals can be just as deep and meaningful as our relationships with others. Losing a pet is profoundly painful, and the grief that follows is a testament to that connection. As a pet owner myself, I understand the immense impact pets have on both mental and physical well-being, as well as the abundance of unconditional love they bring into our lives. . This can make it very difficult to adapt to life without them. Some people may experience a loss of identity from being the 'care giver' to a pet.
Maybe your pet is coming to the end of their life and you need to make a decision about euthanasia?
Maybe you experienced a sudden loss? Or maybe you cant seem to work through the grief you experiencing and its consuming your life. Whatever the reason, together we can work to explore the challenges you are facing in a safe, empathic environment.
With additional courses undertaken in 'pet bereavement' I will be able to offer a supportive and understanding space.
